Outline of Research at the Start

近年、補聴器や人工内耳による聴覚活用の促進や手話によるコミュニケーションの活性化などによって、日本語の力を伸ばしている聴覚障害児が徐々に増えているが、一方で、言語検査などの成績が良好であっても、推論などを駆使して文や文章の深い意味を理解することが困難である子供も少なくない。本研究によって、視空間・聴覚情報が暗示される表現の理解を調べることで、聴覚障害という感覚的な特性が日本語の理解に及ぼす影響をいわば“直接的”に検討することができると考えられ、聴覚障害児への言語指導における基本的かつ根本的な留意点に関する知見を呈示できると考える。
