申請者の調査により、話すより先に文字から習得するASD児が27%と高い割合で存在することが明らかとなった（近藤 2023）。このASD児には特化した言語習得支援プログラムが必要である。よって本研究では、このプログラムの開発を目指す。
そのため、このプログラムが効果的であるASD児、効果的でないASD児の識別をする尺度を作成する。申請者はこれまでに話すより先に文字から習得したASD児の保護者へインタビュー調査を行ってきた。この結果を基に尺度開発を行う。
その後、インタビュー調査で聞き取った効果的な関わり方を参考に家庭や保育園で実施可能な言語指導プログラムを開発・実施し、効果を検証する。
