Outline of Research at the Start

This project explores how different types of AI feedback support Japanese university students in improving their English writing. Over five years, we will test and compare feedback methods using a custom-made app in real classrooms, analyze how students engage with the feedback, and improve the AI system to better support learning. By carefully studying how feedback works and how students use it, the project aims to improve both English education and AI tools for use in the classroom.
