Outline of Research at the Start	「幼児の指さしがなぜ後の言葉の発達を予測するのか」という問題に対して，本研究では「幼児の指さしが周囲の大人を単なる『養育者』から，言葉を教える『先生』へと変容させる」という大胆な仮説を検証します。本研究では，観察や調査によって得られる数値のデータだけではなく，子育て中の大人に対するインタビューによって得られる幼児の詳しい情報も駆使し，幼児の指さしを目撃することが大人の行動や心にどのような影響を及ぼすのかについて解明することを目指します。この研究成果は，幼児の指さしと言葉の発達との関連性を解明だけでなく，幼児の言葉の発達の遅れを未然に防ぐ介入法の開発にも繋がります。
