Outline of Research at the Start

Empirical evidence indicates children with ADHD respond differently to reward and punishment than their typically developing peers. This has important implications for the use of motivationally significant stimuli for behavioral management. The proposed research will evaluate the components of a video-based modular behavioral parent training, incorporating the motivational characteristics of children with ADHD. The intervention is delivered via popular mobile messaging apps; its effectiveness will be tested in two countries. Stakeholder involvement in the evaluation process will be documented.
