Outline of Research at the Start	数論は数学の女王であり、数学は科学の女王である、とも言われる。科学は数学の言葉によって記述されることによって普遍性を持つ。数論における応用によって、他分野の数学の真骨頂が発揮される。数論研究は、研究者の純粋な知的好奇心を原動力として発展してきたが、それと同時に、発見者の思いもかけなかった形で後年、実社会に応用されることがある。現代において、数論とは広く定義されたゼータ函数の研究である、と言っても過言ではない。本研究はその研究対象として、ゼータ函数の中でも重要な保型L函数について考察するものである。今後の数論の発展に寄与することが期待される。
