(1) 空間グラフ内の結び目・絡み目の振る舞いを縛る代数的不変量の関係式(Conway-Gordon 型定理)と空間グラフの内在的性質の研究，(2) 高分子の数学的モデルである線形空間グラフに特有の内在的性質の研究，(3) 結び目内在性を持つ空間グラフに含まれる非自明結び目の「出現場所」を特定する「キャプチャリング」の研究，の3つを柱に据え，空間グラフの理論の研究の本質的な進展を目指す．
