Outline of Research at the Start

すばる望遠鏡の大規模サーベイ観測が生み出すビックデータとシチズンサイエンスの連携により、まだ見ぬ暗く小さな太陽系小天体を大量に発見し、太陽系の描像を明らかにすることが本研究の目的である。太陽系小天体の直径-軌道-反射スペクトル分布から、どのような天体が太陽系のどこに分布しているのか調査を行い、太陽系形成過程の解明に迫る。加えて、活動的小惑星や彗星の発見を行い、太陽系において水や有機物がどこに、どのような形で存在しているのかという謎の解明に迫る。
