Outline of Research at the Start

成層圏大循環とオゾン層は相互作用をしながら変動するものと考えられるが、定量的には未解明のままである。そこで本研究課題では、成層圏突然昇温や南極渦崩壊現象を対象にして、化学気候モデルを用いた、成層圏大循環とオゾン層の相互作用を組み入れた数値実験と、相互作用を切断した数値実験を行い、両数値実験結果と観測値との比較を詳細に行うことで、成層圏大循環とオゾン層の相互作用の詳細を明らかにすることを目的とする。
