Outline of Research at the Start

超高齢化社会において元気に自立した生活ができる健康寿命が重要視されるようになった。そのためには高齢者の精神的、身体的な衰えを把握することが重要であるが、これらの評価は主観的なチェックであったり、医師や理学療法士などの専門家や専用の機器が必要であったりと気軽に評価することは難しい。問題となるのは健康に対して関心が低い方々で、衰えを自覚するような段階では手遅れとなり、要介護の状態に突入してしまうことである。そこで本研究では、現在高い割合で国民に普及しているスマートフォン端末やタブレット端末などのデジタル機器および技術を活用して自宅で簡単にできる身体機能低下セルフチェックシステムの開発を行う。
