ゴムを原材料として弾力性や伸張性を持たせ,人間の皮膚が持つ機械受容器を形態学的に模倣した触覚センサを開発し,さらに,人間と同じ動作をした時に人間と同じ触覚を電気信号で捉える技術を開発し,人間の生活を豊かにしてくれる触覚センサの構築と知見を提案する.
