Outline of Research at the Start

世紀末ウィーンを代表する建築家アドルフ・ロース、哲学者ルートヴィヒ・ウィトゲンシュタインと親交があった建築家パウル・エンゲルマンの、ロースから「建築学」、ウィトゲンシュタインから「哲学」に接触した特異な背景に着目する。本研究課題の視座は、「近代建築の発展過程におけるロース並びにウィトゲンシュタインの思想をエンゲルマンがどのように解釈し、建築理論へと展開していったのか」、この論理構造を解明することである。またそのうえで、すでに定式化された近代建築の枠組みを広げる視点を、エンゲルマン研究を通して見出すことを目的とする。
