Outline of Research at the Start

Under harsh sea conditions, the survivability of floating energy systems is seriously threatened by extreme ocean waves. As conventional frequency-dependent models are no longer adequate for capturing the strongly nonlinear dynamic behavior of these floating systems, the present research aims to develop an effective and efficient methodology to address this issue and to explore possible prevention measures.
