Outline of Research at the Start

交通事故防止を目的に，これまで高齢運転者の視覚認知機能の研究が進められてきたが，走行速度の知覚に着目した研究は未だ限られているのが現状である。本研究では，車の走行に伴う景色の流れ（オプティカルフロー）に基づく走行速度知覚に着目し，オプティカルフローに基づく走行速度知覚への加齢・熟練効果といった基礎特性の解明，およびこの知覚を向上させる訓練法の開発を目指す。
