Outline of Research at the Start

This research uses WAVEWATCH III on TSUBAME 4.0 to simulate extreme storm waves for major Japanese coastal communities. It proceeds in three phases: (1) model setup and validation, (2) simulation of selected typhoon events, and (3) analysis of flood risk and return periods.
