Outline of Research at the Start

High-density rare-earth tantalate RETaO4 single crystals as potential alternative X-ray scintillators will be investigated. Crystals with different rare-earth will be grown, and characterized in terms of crystalline quality, scintillation performance, and irradiation resistance.
