Outline of Research at the Start

光と光増感剤を用いた低侵襲な治療法として光線力学療法が開発されているが、光増感剤の標的特異性の課題やそれに起因する標的部位以外での光増感作用による副作用(光過敏症)、薬効の向上が課題となっている。この課題解決を目指し、細胞内粘度という新しい視点を取り入れ、申請者の開発した粘度応答性に優れた有機色素とリガンドの複合体を用い、がん細胞に選択的に取り込まれて細胞内粘度に応答して光増感能を示すturn-on型光増感剤の開発を目指す。
