Outline of Research at the Start

リステリア（Listeria monocytogenes）は環境中に存在するため、食品加工環境に侵入し、食品を汚染する。ヒトは、これら汚染された食品を経口摂取することでリステリアに感染する。特に、免疫力が低下したヒトが感染した場合には、重篤となりやすく致死率も高くなる。そのため、食品や環境におけるリステリア汚染を把握することが重要となる。食品や環境からのリステリアの検出にはいくつかの方法が知られているが、他の細菌が共存している条件下でのリステリアの増殖動態については不明な点も多い。そこで本研究では、細菌共存下におけるリステリアの増殖動態を解析することで、食品や環境からの最適なリステリア検出方法の構築を試みる。
