Outline of Research at the Start	研究代表者は、これまでにモデル植物シロイヌナズナのゲノム上にダイコン炭疽病菌に対する新規抵抗性（R-）遺伝子RCI1 を発見した。本遺伝子は、典型的なRタンパク質の構造である核酸結合部位とロイシンの繰り返し配列をもつ部位(NLR)をコードせず、SART-1ファミリーの新規non-NLR型Rタンパク質をコードすることが明らかになっている。本研究では、炭疽病菌を認識する新規Rタンパク質RCI1に着目し、non-NLR型Rタンパク質による病原体の認識から抵抗性発動に至る仕組みを明らかにする。
