Outline of Research at the Start

山歩き、トレイルランニング、サイクリング、山菜採りなど、来訪者による山道や山林での多様な自然体験活動がもたらす健康・観光・教育等への効果に期待が高まる一方、都市近郊や観光地での利用競合、林業地での施業との調整、人口減少・高齢化等による管理低下、遭難リスクや所有・管理者の負担感の高まりなど課題も多い。そこで、多様な地理情報を山道の区間や林分毎に整理し、利用と管理に関わる評価関数やシナリオをあてはめ、活動毎の体力要求度、魅力度、遭難リスク、管理コスト等を地図化し、利用目的や維持管理コストに応じて持続的利用が可能な範囲を絞り込む手法を開発する。
