Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、樹液における酵母を中心とした独特な生物群集 Sap Community の消長と樹液酵母のライフサイクル、森林における「樹液」の生態学的意義を解明する。 Sap Communityの主要構成要素である樹液酵母の生理生化学的特徴と野外におけるニッチ、樹液酵母の生態・ライフサイクルを明らかにする。また、分離菌株の代表株を公的菌株保存機関へ寄託し、広く研究コミュニティで二次利用できるようバイオリソースとして整備する。
