Outline of Research at the Start

高悪性度T細胞リンパ腫（HGTCL）はT細胞由来の腫瘍であり、ヒトと犬の双方で発生し、ともに難治性で予後が悪いことが問題である。申請者はこれまでに、犬HGTCL細胞株を用いて新規治療薬のスクリーニングを行い、有力な候補としてタキサン系抗癌剤Xを見出した。そこで本研究では、犬HGTCLの細胞株、担癌モデルマウス、臨床症例を用いてXの有効性と安全性を検証し、新規治療法を開発することで、予後改善を目指す。また、XはヒトHGTCLの治療でも全く着目されていないため、ヒトHGTCL細胞株に対するXの効果を検証し、前述の実験で犬から得られた知見を参照しながら、臨床応用の可能性を検討する。
