Outline of Research at the Start

マイクロプラスチックの範疇に含まれる直径約0.1μm程度のポリスチレン粒子は、その大きさにもかかわらず経口摂取後、腸管を通過し体内臓器や血流に到達する危険性があることがわかってきた。本研究では、培養細胞および実験動物を用いて、ポリスチレン粒子の腸バリア機能への影響を調べ、生体における腸管からの粒子取り込みメカニズムを調べることで、マイクロプラスチックの毒性を正確に評価することを目的とする。
