Outline of Research at the Start

森林性偶蹄類と家畜間で流行するChorioptes属のダニによる疥癬は、家畜ではストレスによる経済的損失をもたらし、野生動物では重症化し死に至る。本研究では、国内でのChorioptes属疥癬ダニの起源と森林性偶蹄類と家畜間での伝播経路を明らかにすることを目的とする。主な項目として、1）形態と遺伝的解析を用いた種分類、分布、病原性の解明、2）疥癬ダニの起源（自然宿主）と野生動物と家畜間の伝播経路の解明、である。これらのデータをまとめることで、今後、国内でのChorioptes属による疥癬の発生・流行防止策を提案する。
