Outline of Research at the Start

慢性腎臓病は、ヒトだけでなく犬と猫でも増加の一途を辿っている難治性の疾患である。三次リンパ組織とは、非リンパ組織に形成される異所性のリンパ組織であり、近年、腎臓で形成される三次リンパ組織が慢性腎臓病の新たな治療ターゲットとして脚光を浴びている。本研究では、犬と猫の慢性腎臓病における腎三次リンパ組織の形成機構と病態への関与を解明し、新たな治療ターゲットとしての可能性を追求する。これにより、難治性疾患である慢性腎臓病の獣医学領域におけるブレイクスルーを目指す。
