Outline of Research at the Start

様々な生理機能(シナプス伝達や免疫反応、炎症反応など)においてパルミトイル化反応が関わることが注目され始めている。一方、それらの責任酵素については未だ未解明なものが多い。本研究ではシナプスタンパク質とパルミトイル化酵素群の組み合わせに着目することで、未解明の酵素-基質蛋白質ペアを見出す。これらの知見はその生理機能の破綻で引き起こされる病態の治療において重要な知見を与えると期待される。
