Outline of Research at the Start

2020年に発生した新型コロナウイルス感染症のパンデミックは、人獣共通感染症の脅威と未知のウイルスの存在を再認識させ、バイオエアロゾル中の微量なウイルスRNA配列を網羅的に検出するウイルス叢解析が注目されている。本研究では、ウイルスRNAの検出感度を低下させるrRNAの枯渇手法と新規PCR増幅法(MSE-PCR)を組み合わせ、バイオエアロゾル中の極微量なウイルスRNAを高感度・高精度に解析する技術基盤の確立を目指す。
