Outline of Research at the Start	発生は撹乱の存在下でも高い精度で実行され、これは「発生ロバストネス」と呼ばれる。我々は、細胞競合によるde novo変異細胞の除去がその一因であることを発見した。変異細胞は隣接する正常細胞に感知され、細胞死を介して除去されることで、正常な形態形成が維持される。しかしpHストレスなどの撹乱はこの仕組みを阻害し、疾患関連遺伝子の変異細胞が蓄積されることを見出した。本研究ではゼブラフィッシュなどを用い、発生ロバストネスの脆弱化と疾患発症との関連を解明する。
