Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、種々の非線形光学応答を測定することが可能なマルチモーダル分光顕微鏡を駆使して植物-アーバスキュラー菌根菌共生系の「非染色・多成分同時・3D」イメージングを実現することにより、共生相互作用を物質局在の観点から究明することを目的とする。本研究で対象とする物質には、AM菌と植物の構成成分やそれらの間でやりとりされる既知化合物はもちろん、グロマリンのようなまだあまり研究が進んでいない物質やまったく未知の物質までもが含まれる。そして、得られた菌根共生に関する新知見に立脚して、農業や環境保全へのAM菌の応用展開を加速する研究基盤を開拓する。
