Outline of Research at the Start

本研究で用いるゲノムワイドSNPは従来よく使われてきたミトコンドリアDNAの変異に比べて検出できる多型の量・質に優れており，圧倒的に高い解像度で集団構造を解明できる．さらに，さまざまな集団動態履歴モデルの尤度を比較することにより種分化プロセスを推定可能である．これにより，過去の氷期-間氷期サイクルに伴う海水準の変動などの地史的イベントによる種分化や姉妹種間の交雑の過程，同所的種分化をもたらす要因（繁殖に関わる形態の多様化など）を把握することで，オホーツク海南部の深海域に見られる固有種の成立過程を明らかにする．
