Outline of Research at the Start

水域環境評価における生物相解析や、形態情報によらない（分子情報を用いる）種判別、あるいは生物種の分子系統解析において、DNA情報は非常に有効なツールとなる。本研究では、水生生物の分類・生態に詳しい専門家と連携し、採集した個体の正確な同定を行うとともに、標本と対応付けられたDNA試料の解析をすすめることで、日本産記録種・記載種についての網羅的・系統的なDNAタクソノミー情報基盤の確立を推進する。さらに、DNA情報を活用し、隠蔽種や未記載種の分類学的位置づけを明らかにする。
