Outline of Research at the Start

レトロマータンパク質複合体はエンドソーム輸送を制御する輸送体である。レトロマー構成分子であるVPS29には２つのアイソフォームが存在し、神経細胞では主にShort formが発現する。本研究では各アイソフォームの機能的な相違、細胞内動態、神経細胞におけるタンパク質安定性について解析する。未だ誰も注目していない神経細胞特異的なレトロマー制御機構の解明を糸口に、神経変性疾患に共通する病態の分子機構を明らかにする。
