Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、「皮膚と脳をリンクするメカニズムの検討」と「皮膚の状態を改善することによる認知機能回復の可能性の検討」を行うものである。皮膚と脳をリンクするメカニズムとしては、液性因子、T細胞などの免疫系細胞、さらには皮膚から脳に至る感覚神経路などが候補として挙げられる。これらの経路を中心に、皮膚の老化が脳の老化につながるメカニズムを明らかにすることを目指す。また、皮膚疾患の治療を通じて、認知機能が回復する可能性があるか否かを検証する。
