Outline of Research at the Start	ACSL4は、アラキドン酸などの多価不飽和脂肪酸(PUFA)をアシルCoA に変換する酵素で、生体内でPUFA を利用する際に本酵素が重要な役割を担うことが明らかとされつつある。本研究では、ACSL4 欠損マウスの重大な表現型の一つであるが、不明な点が多く残されている雌性の生殖機能障害に着目して解析を実施する。具体的には、1) 卵子の分化・成熟、2) 排卵、3) 受精、4) 着床、5) 胎児の成長、および、6) 分娩等の各ステージにおけるACSL4 の役割を組織学的解析、トランスクリプトームやリピドミクス解析等を実施することでその全容を明らかとすることを目指す。
