Outline of Research at the Start

アトピー性皮膚炎 (AD) は、増悪と軽快を繰り返す掻痒のある湿疹を主病変とする多病因性の疾患であり、その掻痒感には、1日の中で夜間に高まる明瞭な概日リズムが存在する。これまで、この概日リズムを基盤とした詳細な研究はなされていなかった。そこで本研究では、①ADの発症によって、生体内成分にAD固有の概日リズムが存在するのか、②抗AD治療薬による時間薬物療法は有効であるのかを明らかにすることを目的に、ADモデル動物を対象に、基礎研究を実施する。このAD固有の概日リズムが明らかになることで、ADの新たな病態形成の要因解明や治療法の糸口が見いだされるのではないかと考える。
