Outline of Research at the Start

脂肪肝は脂肪変性と肝細胞障害を主体とし、特に、女性では閉経後に顕著に増加することから女性ホルモンの関与が示唆される。本研究では脂肪蓄積と線維化を伴う脂肪蓄積マウスを作製し、肝再生過程の肝細胞増殖、エストロゲン受容体（ERα/ERβ）発現とestrogen response elements（ERE）転写活性、脂質代謝指標であるステロール調節エレメント結合蛋白質（SREBP-1/2）発現とSREBP-1/2転写活性、細胞内miRNA発現動態変化により、肝再生過程でのエストロゲンによる細胞増殖・脂質代謝の分子制御機構の解明を行う。
