Outline of Research at the Start	近年、がん免疫療法は世界的にがん治療の標準的選択肢となっているが、その治療効果は炎症性腫瘍 (Hot tumor)では高い一方、非炎症性腫瘍 (Cold tumor)に対しては低いことが報告されている。本研究ではCold→Hot tumor転換に有効なI型IFNを効果的に誘導するためにSTINGおよびRIG-Iを標的としたアゴニストの併用療法の開発を行う。本併用療法の開発により腫瘍組織の炎症惹起に加えて細胞浸潤増加が誘導され、がん免疫療法の効果が高いHot tumorに転換することができる可能性があり、免疫チェックポイント阻害薬をはじめとするがん免疫療法の有効性向上が期待される。
