Outline of Research at the Start

ANCA関連血管炎は、好中球細胞質抗体(ANCA)の産生を特徴とする血管炎症候群である。副腎皮質ステロイドなどにより寛解導入が可能なものの、副作用や薬剤抵抗性、再燃などのリスクがあるため、発症機序の解明と効果的な治療法の開発が求められている。申請者は、Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7)やTLR9などの核酸認識TLRが自己免疫疾患を誘導するメカニズムを解析してきた経験から、ANCA関連血管炎における核酸認識TLRの関与に着目した。本研究では、TLR7およびTLR9の欠損マウスを解析することで、ANCA関連血管炎の病態形成における核酸認識TLRの作用点を明らかにする。
