Outline of Research at the Start

マラリア流行地では、感染者の免疫記憶が維持されにくいことが指摘されている。本研究は、マウスの感染モデルを用い、マラリア原虫感染により誘導される免疫記憶T細胞の制御機構を明らかにすることを目的としている。特にマラリア免疫記憶においてサイトカインIL-27が制御性の役割を有することを明らかにしており、その制御メカニズムを解明する。マラリアの免疫制御やワクチン開発のための基礎研究である。
