Outline of Research at the Start

わが国の早産率は約 6% で、年間 4 万人余りが早産で出生している。早産原因の 3 分の 1 に細菌感染が関与する。当センターでの切迫早産患者における羊水中Ureaplasma の PCR 法を用いた検出頻度は 15% であり、原因微生物としては最も検出頻度が高かった。今回、U. parvum 感染 HeLa 細胞の電子顕微鏡観察に於いて、感染した一部の宿主細胞の核膜が崩壊している像を確認した。本申請ではUreaplasma parvum による核膜崩壊に関わる病原因子を同定し、宿主細胞内で繰り広げられる病原細菌との攻防を分子レベルで明らかにする。
