Outline of Research at the Start

全身薬物療法に不応の難治性腫瘍が存在する。異なる環境の前臨床腫瘍モデルで葉酸受容体の発現が変化することを発見した。腫瘍難治化の過程における葉酸受容体の役割について研究を行っている。難治性乳癌の再発転移巣において、葉酸受容体の発現が増加した集団がいることを見つけた。これらの腫瘍において多遺伝子発現解析の結果、血管新生の促進や腫瘍免疫環境を抑制するケモカイン（CXCL17）の発現が増加していることを発見した。腫瘍進展や難治化の過程におけるCXCL17の機能的役割や葉酸受容体との関連を検証する。また、臨床検体や情報を用いてCXCL17発現とクリニカルアウトカムとの関連を検証する。
