Outline of Research at the Start

癌微小環境の主たる間質細胞として癌関連線維芽細胞(Cancer-Associated Fibroblast: CAF)が存在する。CAFは癌細胞とシグナルの授受によりネットワークを構築し、癌の悪性化や抗癌剤抵抗性を促進するが、そのメカニズムには不明な点が多く残されている。申請者は、乳癌CAFにおける一次繊毛を有す細胞の増加を発見した。一次繊毛は、細胞外のシグナルを受容し、細胞内へ伝達する機能を持つことから、CAFにおける一次繊毛増加が癌細胞-CAF間ネットワークの乱れを惹起し、癌の進展に寄与する可能性が想定された。そこで本研究では、CAFにおける一次繊毛増加の分子機構、及びCAFにおける一次繊毛増加が癌に及ぼす影響の解明を目指す。
