Outline of Research at the Start

中皮腫はアスベスト曝露による中皮細胞のがん化を主要因として発症する難治性の希少がんである。申請者らは、中皮腫細胞がフェロトーシス細胞死を誘導しやすいことを見出してきたが、その分子基盤については不明な点が多い。フェロトーシスは膜脂質の過酸化反応によって起こることから、本研究では、質量分析装置を使用した脂質組成の網羅的解析（リピドーム解析）を行う。さらに、遺伝子発現量解析などのオミクス解析を組み合わせ、中皮腫細胞におけるフェロトーシス誘導・制御の分子機序を明らかにする。本研究成果は、フェロトーシス誘導を利用した中皮腫に対する新規治療法の開発に貢献すると期待される。
