Outline of Research at the Start

生まれつき障害を受けたDNAを修復することができない代表的疾患であるBloom症候群は、健常人と比較して約300倍の発がん性を有し、その約40%に血液腫瘍を発症する。Blm遺伝子に特定の変異が加わることにより作製されたBloom症候群モデルマウス（Blmマウス）は、放射線を照射することで約半数が胸腺原発リンパ腫を発症する。そこで、Blmマウスの骨髄細胞に変異がない正常のBlm遺伝子をレンチウイルスベクターを用いて導入し、正常の遺伝子が導入された細胞をBlmマウスに移植することで放射線照射によるリンパ腫発症を予防できないかを検討する。
