Outline of Research at the Start

BRAF変異は大腸癌の強力な予後不良因子であり、BRAF変異型大腸癌に対する新規治療方法の開発は急務である。既報において、BRAF変異が大腸癌のドライバーとして機能するためには高メチル化状態との共存が重要であることが報告されている。
本研究は、BRAF変異型高メチル化大腸癌において、脱メチル化剤が薬剤感受性に与える影響や、脱メチル化剤によって生じる詳細なメチル化状態の変化を比較することで、BRAF変異型高メチル化大腸癌におけるDNAメチル化異常を標的とした新規治療方法を開発することを目指す。
