Outline of Research at the Start

非小細胞肺がんに対する治療は免疫チェックポイント阻害薬の登場により大きく変化した。免疫チェックポイント阻害薬が登場して以降、一部の症例では長期に渡り腫瘍制御が可能であることが明らかになっているが、長期奏功に至る割合は全体の10-20%程度と低く、その背景にあるメカニズムの詳細は未だに明らかではない。本研究では免疫チェックポイント阻害薬の効果が長期に得られた症例に着目し、一度奏功したにも関わらず早期に再発する症例とのT細胞の違いや腫瘍関連好中球によるT細胞抑制という観点から、その背景にある免疫学的・遺伝学的なメカニズムを解明し、長期奏功率の改善のための治療戦略の樹立を目指す。
