Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、個々の患者由来の大腸癌より樹立した初代培養細胞「オルガノイド」を用いて、超短期間で化学療法の薬剤感受性試験を行い、実臨床での個別化医療の実現を目指す研究である。安定的な培養法は確立しているが、術後化学療法までの意思決定に有用となるタイムリーな臨床応用が難しいのが現状であった。その問題点を克服するために、培養方法を改良し、従来の評価法からスフェロイドの大きさの変化で薬剤感受性を評価する、新規評価法を確立することで迅速な解析を目指す。さらに、検体採取時に得られる糞便や腫瘍のマイクロバイオーム解析を行い、治療効果や予後との関連についても合わせて解明していく。
