Outline of Research at the Start

本研究デザインは前向きコホート研究である。全国33施設から食道がん内視鏡治療後ならびに頭頸部がん経口的手術後の患者を合計658例登録し、禁酒・禁煙指導後に全身性サーベイランスを実施して、登録10年後まで異時性他臓器がんの発生状況を調査する。主な調査項目は、LVLの程度別、アルコールおよびニコチン代謝の遺伝子多型別にみた異時性他臓器がんの発生頻度である。これらの結果から、異時性他臓器がんの正確な発生頻度や発生に関連するリスク因子を見出し、禁酒・禁煙の指導による異時性他臓器がん発生の予防効果ならびにこれらが予後に与える影響を調査し、予後を改善するためのサーベイランスや二次予防の方法を提唱する。
