| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究計画で開発するecDNA（extrachromosomal DNA, 染色体外DNA)をターゲットとした検査は、その低コストさからがん患者にとって利用しやすい検査となるだけでなく、それによりecDNAについての臨床研究を幅広い癌種で協力に推進する。そして本研究や関連の臨床研究によりecDNAの病態解析に手がかりが得られれば、不明な点の多いecDNAの基礎的研究にも貢献すると考えられる。つまり本研究開発は、ecDNAとがんに関する臨床から基礎にまで及ぶ、不可欠な基盤となりうる研究である。
