Outline of Research at the Start	パーキンソン症候群（PS）には，難治性神経変性疾患が含まれるが，PSは多彩な臨床像を呈し，明確なバイオマーカーもなく，臨床診断が困難な場合が少なくない．申請者らは，先行研究においてPSのひとつである進行性核上性麻痺に特異的な複数のバイオマーカー候補(Chromogranin B，microRNA 6088など)を得ている．本研究では，バイオマーカー候補を対象に（1）診断バイオマーカーとしての有用性の検証，（2）神経系培養細胞・剖検脳組織切片を用いた分子生物学的な手法による機能解析を行い，PSの疾患概念，病態解明，新たな治療標的の開発に資するバイオマーカーの確立を目指している．
